President:
- Newsletter draft complete the newsletter will be released very soon
- Meetings planned for upcoming planning for the 80th with the office of alumni engagement and the chapter, call for volunteers going out with the newsletter
- Attended a national APO alumni association president’s round table meeting, got some good ideas and connected with some presidents
Vice President:
- 80th planning continuing with the
Secretary-Treasurer:
- New Officer Sara Ann Rochford, learning about EZAA and the role and getting up to speed
Extension Chair:
- A few unsubscribes from the email list but nothing alarming or too unexpected
Member at Large:
- Planning an upcoming virtual service event
New Business/Discussion
- Form and Save the date going out with the newsletter hoping to start forming the committees we discussed
- Find someone to make a Nowotny, someone to make older plaques newer. We are still having issues finding someone willing and able to recreate the old designs
Events
- Free Rice online trivia service next month
- Sara S - Online trivia, Tuesdays or Thursday April 23rd 8pm Eastern
- Career related event
- Panel and/or mingling and talking to help actives and recent grads learn about opportunities and industries
- Graduation event
- An event to celebrate the new grads and something for people in the area too for any alumni coming back
- May be just the alumni in the area but given some especially recent ones come to graduation good time for an event and way to connect
- The event will be Sunday Brunch 5/17
- Chapter service event
- Expanding the garden, apparently the chapter has free reign over the whole hill side
- Summer service with brothers on campus and in the area
- Arch has changed now but my thinking is a way to support actives who are on a compressed schedule and unable to plan many events on their own so thinking we help plan some events with
- Bowling, Mini Gold, Hiking, Snowmans after service events
- Live EZAA presence at a meeting
- Finding a good date to attend, maybe the first weekend of May. Getting some cookies or deserts for the meeting.
- Support $100 up to the bakery for an EZ chapter meeting
Next ECOM Meeting
The group decided to hold their next meeting on Thursday, May 7th at 7pm EDT. The meetings will now be open to any alumni to view that have an interest, contact Rafael for meeting details.
